I had a great stay at the hotel, which is very modern and impeccably clean. The beach nearby is stunning with its sugar-like sand and clear water. The staff worked hard under tough conditions, wearing masks and visors. While the food options were somewhat limited, the chef prepared delicious meats and omelettes. However, it’s a bit of a letdown that some essentials were hard for the staff to acquire.
This hotel is a solid choice if you're looking for a comfortable stay with easy access to the beach, just a quick walk across the road. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean, making it a true family-friendly option. Although the dining can be a bit hit or miss depending on the availability of ingredients, the overall stay offers great value for money, especially for larger families. Just be prepared that it’s not right on the main beach, which might not be ideal for everyone.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. It's modern and clean, with sanitizers everywhere, which was reassuring during these times. The beach is beautiful with its sugar sand, although not ideal for snorkeling. The food was decent given the current supply issues on the island, and the staff was hardworking and friendly. However, I recommend bringing your own toiletries because the hotel has difficulty sourcing them. I think it's best to avoid visiting Havana right now as many places are closed.
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, which is just a short 100 meters from the beach—convenient for beach lovers like me. The rooms were spacious and clean, making for a comfortable experience. The dining options were decent, though the food availability seemed affected by local conditions. There's a nice auditorium that could be great for events, but overall, the hotel’s offerings felt a bit basic. Still, for the price, I think it offers good value for families.
The Melia International Hotel in Cuba is a modern, clean place where I felt safe with all the COVID precautions in place. The beach with its sugar-like sand was simply stunning. While the food varied, I enjoyed the fresh meats and omelettes cooked by the lovely chef. However, the challenges with food availability were noticeable, and I'd advise against visiting Havana currently as many places are closed.
